Monday September 14, 2009: In the upper levels, a trough is coming into the west coast, bringing severe storms to Utah and cooler air to the valley cities. This upper level low pressure area and trough will slowly drop south over the next 12-24 hours into Arizona, maintaining our high temperatures in the upper 90's and then low 100's by the week's end. Expect gusty winds, especially in the afternoon for the next few days as that system makes it way to the east. No precipitation is expected as the system remains too far north and east to bring in the energy and moisture required for rain and storms. Meteorologist Gregg Potter - gregg@anythingweather.com
